Summer Vacation

Last week week, both boys finished up their school year and Hailey finished up therapy.  We are putting speech and physical therapy on hold for the summer.  Hailey has progressed wonderfully in both areas (at the moment).  We are taking a break and working on things from home.  We will reassess for both of them in August when school starts back up.  So for the summer, we will only have early intervention through the county.  We meet with her a couple of times a month.  We are all looking forward to a slower schedule!

Kindergarten is in the books....now he is a first grader.

Now onto 4th grade
Today we met up with our EI therapist at the park.  Hailey has a small slide in the house and has been on swings before but we have not had her at a playground since she started walking.  I was hesitant.  I didn't know how she would react or what she would do.  As always, I shouldn't underestimate this little girl.  She climbed right up the steps and headed to the slide.  The only thing that she was not sure of was the platform leading to the slide.  The metal had holes and she seemed a little hesitant to walk on it.  It was temporary and she slid down the slide again and again.

Mom, this is a little bigger than my slide at home.

Let's go again!

Don't we all wish we were flexible and young enough to stand like this :-)

Let's go explore over here.

Oooooohhhhhhhh!

Love this smile!

Going to check out the ducks.

So....does this mean she is tired?!?!?

  1. I do not know how you get those shoes to go over her sure steps!? Those kind won't fit over Kamdyn's. Kamdyn is terrified of playgrounds with the holes in them that you can see through, and she's not crazy about being up high, so we're working in the playground thing. Looks like Hailey was having a great time.

  2. The boys are growing up! And so is Hailey - her hair is getting long. I have been looking forward to this summer vacation for months. We're not taking a therapy break, but things will still be much more laid back.

  3. Aha! I love the photos! Cora is in LOVE with the park. We've had her last 2 EI appts there. And yes, both Cora and Hailey are finally growing some hair! Woo hoo! Yay for summer! (And your boys are looking huge)
