Gratitude part 2 and Into Everything

Today I started on my thank you's.  I had collage 4x6 prints made to accompany the notes.  This way they can see how well she is doing.  In case they have forgotten which child she is, it might jog their memory :-)  I didn't realize how difficult it would be to write those letters.  It is so hard to put into words how very thankful we are.  How do you begin to thank the surgeon who saved your child's life?  How can you get the neonatalogist to full understand how wonderful he was delivering the news that our daughter has Down syndrome?  It is so hard to express our gratitude.  I finished one...I think it took me over 30 minutes...there were a LOT of tears involved.  I'm amazed at how raw the emotion can be.

On another note...Hailey is into EVERYTHING!!  And I love it!!!  I'm so excited to see the curiosity in her eyes and the determination to get to what she wants.  Now we might need to work on the word "no" and start redirecting her.  Oh well :-)

No, really Ian....I'm serious.

I want Mr. Potato Head...Ian, won't you share?

Mom, they are playing with my toy!

This ghost tastes good!

Hey, Mom....I've got your plant!

  2. It's seeing this that makes me wish Cora had siblings. What great motivation for Hailey! But I'm sure her own sassy personality has a LOT to do with it.
